Hi, I’m Linsey, but you can call me Lin. I’m a licensed mental health counselor by day and a pottery gremlin by every other available moment.
I’m a Philly native now living in Florida with my wife and our crazy pets. Pottery has been in my family for generations. My great-grandparents owned Wilding Ceramics in Monroeville, PA — a ceramics shop that’s been part of our family story since before I was around to appreciate it. I’m a fourth generation potter, which means getting back on the wheel wasn’t really a detour. It was kind of inevitable.
I came back after a long break and something just clicked. Now I have strong opinions about glazes, I’m watching kiln-opening videos at midnight, and my pieces are wonky and never quite the same twice. That’s kind of the whole point.
I want to be honest about where I am in this journey — I’m still learning. Every piece teaches me something new, and some days the clay wins. But that’s what makes it real. I’m not a production studio, I’m one person at a wheel in Florida, making things by hand and figuring it out as I go.
Lopsided Pottery is handmade ceramics with character. If you’re here for perfectly uniform pieces, I’m probably not your person. But if you like things made with intention, a little history, and a lot of personality — stick around.
